"Go therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Teach them to carry out everything I have commanded you. And know that I am with you always, until the end of the world" (Matthew 28:19-20).

John Chapter 20 : 1 On the first day of the week, Mary of Magdala came to the tomb early in the morning, while it was still dark, and saw the stone removed from the tomb.

ALPHA and YOUTH ALPHA TRAINING

We invite you and your leadership to be part of the evangelical reawakening and transformation of our country.

Help us to fulfill our mission:

To see thousands of Alpha courses being run in churches, universities, schools, factories, offices, homes and prisons as an ongoing programme of evangelism and to see millions coming to Christ, being filled with the Holy Spirit, telling others about Jesus, new churches being planted, the kingdom of God advanced and His name glorified.

WE INVITE YOU TO A:

Regional Workshop to be held on Saturday 31st July 2004 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Krugersdorp  (Luipaard Street, off the R28 and behind Medicross Centre, Luipaardsvlei)  from 8.30a.m. to 3.00p.m.  Cost – R30 which includes teas and lunch

Please fill in the attached registration form or register by calling the Alpha National Office on (011) 341-0551 or faxing  (011) 325-2338 or e-mailing us on inform@alphasa.co.za

If you have been running Alpha and Youth Alpha for some time,  then we may be able to help you with some new ideas on reaching the unchurched in your area.   Furthermore we would love to hear how the course has been going – your successes and challenges.

If are planning to start Alpha and Youth Alpha for the first time in your church, let us give you the necessary guidelines and assistance in doing so.

If you have never heard of Alpha and Youth Alpha, now is your chance to find out you have been missing..

What is Alpha?

The Alpha course is a fifteen session, ten week practical introduction to the Christian faith. It is designed primarily for non-churchgoers and those who have recently become Christians. It was established at Holy Trinity Brompton (HTB) over twenty years ago and there are now more than 20,000 courses throughout the UK and other countries. At HTB, Alpha courses are held throughout the year and have over 500 people attending each week.

Alpha is a flexible and practical model, which can work for any group of any size. Churches and Christian organisations of every background and denomination are discovering it to be a simple and effective way of presenting the gospel of Jesus Christ in a clear and non-threatening manner to people from all walks of life.

Why Alpha?

  • More than 1,000 churches in Southern Africa have found that Alpha works for them, bringing back lost members and bringing in new members.
  • The churches also find that existing members enjoy the course and benefit from it.
  • Youth and Student Alpha are also growing all around the world and many young people are coming to know Jesus Christ.
  • There are still millions of people who have not found the joy of knowing Jesus Christ.

Who should attend?
